Welcome to Conscious Tree Counseling,
I am glad you are here!
My name is Yingxia Yao.

Yingxia is a first-generation Chinese immigrant, and identifies as a person of color. She speaks both Mandarin (普通话) and English. Circumstances brought her to a journey of healing from developmental, learning, and racial traumas. The process led her to experience inner alchemical transformation and spiritual awakening. As fellow travellers, we are not identified as our psychological patterns but the stillness and consciousness beyond all layers of social conditionings .
She has experience working with youth, immigrants, seniors, unhoused, and neurodivergent populations in schools, communities, crisis response, and outpatient settings. These experiences have taught her that people are tremendously resilient in face of greater pain and loss. She believes anyone, no matter who they are and what they have endured, has the capacity to heal.
As a trauma survivor and a wounded healer, she sees her clients have everything they need to heal and to be whole. Conscious Tree Counseling provides compassionate presence and a safe space for the clients to process loss and change, break free from negative patterns and beliefs, realign with their most authentic and empowered selves, move forward with greater self-compassion, awareness, strength, and hope, and journey back to wholeness. It is her highest honor to walk alongside her clients during their challenging times. It is her greatest privilege to witness their journey to personal growth and individuation.
She employs evidence-based methods tailored entirely to the unique needs of each individual, and draws from a variety of interventions, including attachment theory, cognitive-behavioral therapy, Acceptance-Commitment Therapy, Mindful Self-Compassion, EMDR, and meditation as requested. She has several years of experience practicing meditation and has completed training with Saqib Rizvi in workshops such as Awakening through Alchemy, Astral Projection, Dying for Living, and Magical Manifestation. As a social worker her practice is rooted in social justice and anti-oppression.
Outside of her practice, she enjoys meditation, yoga, nature, and spending time with family and friends.
She provides individual therapy in-person in Lynnwood and online across Washington State.
Yingxia Yao is a graduate of the University of Washington with a Master of Social Work. Her Credential from the Department of Health is SWIA.SC.70128298.
She is an associate social worker under supervision by Kristie Flournoy-Earnshaw, license number LW61534198 in WA.
